And so it is...

Life continues on.  My nephew, William,  just graduated from Marine Corps boot camp in San Diego.  We are all very proud of him.

William's Graduating Class October 2011
San Diego, CA

He is a fourth generation marine on his father's side of the family.  There are also marines on our side, but the corps is not as deep in our blood lines.  All the same, what he is doing is very commendable for our country.  He is a fine young man.  I has no idea what his MOS and first duty station will be yet.  I would not be surprised to find that he is some sort of computer techie.  He took his first encryption class through the military as a young child, rather than a man.

My first class at GCU is almost over!  Hooray!!!!!  One final paper to write and I am done.

I think I am getting trunky so I am glad it is almost over, to be honest.  There are some things I would like to say that decorum is keeping from saying.  Sometimes I would really like to push the line even though I am likely to make someone mad...but it would make a valid point.  For example, if some criminal utilize critical thinking as a mode of planning their crimes and the video we watched stated that critical thinking required one to removed their emotions from the equation, would it not make sense that sociopaths must be brilliant critical thinkers because of their complete apathy for all humanity?  Or at least based on the logic which we are being asked to accept.  *Sigh!*  Nothing like wanting to throw a little oil on a fire to get it nice and toasty...

I was a good girl, however, and did not do it.  My professor would have been very mad at me if I had.  I still am maintaining my A in her class.  I want to keep my A...so I must be a good girl and not stir up controversy, even if I have a valid point.

I met my new instructor for my next class over the phone today.  She seems nice.  Her name is Kristen.  The class is Christian Worldview.  I am a Mormon at a Baptist University, but I grew up going to Baptist Vacation Bible School every summer.  I am not the only Mormon to attend this University.  There are three of us in my current class.  Hopefully, this class will go well.

I also talked to Stewart and Janalee today.  What a wonderful surprise!!  I can hardly believe that Heather is already four years old!  She was still just a little thing the last time we visited them.  They have moved to a larger house and Janalee is a stay at home mom now!  How wonderful is that!!  Stewart has a good job and is getting ready to move to a better one soon.  I can see that the Lord is really blessing them in their lives.  I am very happy for them.  They deserve this.  It was so good to hear the voice of my good friends on the phone today.  How much I have missed them!

I think about all of my friends I do not get to see often.  I should just call or something.  I don't know why I tend to fall off the planet.  It really is a very bad habit of mine.  Jenni Beth is so used to it that she doesn't allow me to do it.  She calls if it has been too long with no word from me...plus we gab on Facebook.

I am very excited for the upcoming changes in her life.  I am not going to write about them until she is ready, however.  Somethings take time.  Change is not always easy or permanent.  We will see how things pan out on this one first...with a little patience.  On that note, it is past my bed time.  Goodnight!
