Time to catch up...

Let's see...I got a 9.98 out of 10 on my last paper for University Success and my overall class average was 98.3%.  Needless to say, I got an "A."  I was overjoyed, but I was getting pretty cranky at the end.  Glad it is over is all I can say.

Moving onward to Christian Worldview.  Interesting class.  A Mormon at a Baptist University trying very hard not  to draw attention to myself.  Let me tell you, it is not easy.  Come to think of it, I am just not loving this class already but I am doing the best I can to participate nicely.  I am backing everything up using the Bible, which I known how to do.  I did go to Baptist Vacation Bible School every summer as a kid after all.  I can do this...and I will overcome.

Matt's best advice is not to take things personally.  He's right but it is soooo hard.  Lots of prayers right now.  I can do hard things and right now this is hard.  I just have to make sure my head is screwed on straight!  This is a survey level class, if I can't ace it something is wrong!

Okay, moving on again.  Doctor Lovell.  Hanging in here.  No new appointment or injection for three weeks unless I am miserable.  Mom and I decided that tomatoes are not a trigger for me...so, we are adding them back into my diet.

We spent the rest of our time down in Phoenix exploring SAS Fabrics and shopping with Eve.  Check out the fun pics I took.

Isn't this the most beautiful sari fabric?  Wow!!

The "wild" life print!  I got a kick out of this print!

Notions anyone?

Another view...

And more notions!!!

Next we went to The Great Indoors.

If you have never been there before...wow is about all I can say!

This is pic of a light I found in a catalogue which might work for the nursery.  It comes in 17 inches and 14 inches.  It has to be ordered only.

They have a matching wall sconce too.

Not sure if it isn't too bright for my taste right now.  If it were just a little boy room I'd pounce on it but with it being a unisex room I am just not so sure.

This light might be more feasible...and it is cheaper.

Hmmm...I wonder if I could just get a regular light and etch a moon on it myself using a vinyl cutout and etching cream.  Food for thought.

Ignore the price tag on the stove/oven.  Isn't it pretty?  It is Italian...and not the most expensive model in the store.  It is very pretty...and looks like it would work well for a busy home cook who does a lot of stuff like canning, unless I missed my mark!

If you don't know about my glassware fetish, you do now!  Isn't it gorgeous?!!

I just can't help myself...it is sooo pretty!

Forget about the calla lilies...give me the glass!

Such pretty colors!  I wish they'd had a gold and a light blue.  Then again, thank goodness they didn't have such things!  I might have been tempted to do more than take pretty pictures of the glassware!

Ironically, as perfectly formed as these are...I love the more uneven glass with bubbles in it even more.  The imperfections help you realize that it was hand made more.  Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder....

Mom liked this table best...and I admit that it is pretty but...

this one was my favorite!  Too bad Matt does not like countertop height tables and chairs.  Then again, they are not very baby friendly.  C'est la vie!

Later mom and I went JC Penneys and found these...

mom has been meaning to get me a new set of dishes to replace all of my dishes which disappeared out her attic years ago...and these were on clearance.  I liked them and I messaged Matt a pic...and he did too.  They will match the kitchen decor once I finish redecorating, so, I told mom they are perfect.  These are my Christmas present from mom this year.

Thank you, mom!  You are awesome!!!

During our visit, Miss Jenna had her tutu on.

Isn't she cute?

Little miss cyber ballerina bum!!

After we got home, we found a package waiting for mom.  Little did I know what was waiting in the package was actually for me!

Mom bought me a 1942 edition Meta Given cookbook.  If you don't know what this is, all I can tell you is that is awesome!  Go do some research and you will see exactly what I mean.

Check it out!

Original Cover

Can you imagine anyplace actually having a home economics laboratory today?

The title page...printed in 1942.

There are over a thousand recipes in the cookbook, complete with a year worth of meal plans.  Unheard of in today's society.  What a find!

The inside label says that this particular book was a gift to someone who made some sort of practical suggestion for a cookbook or something.  Pretty cool.

More exciting news, Jenni is pregnant.  She finally decided to take her announcement public so I can finally write about it.  I have to say I have been bursting at the seams since she first told me!   I am sooo excited for her and Geoffrey!  Okay, I should go to bed before I pop.  I am exhausted.  So much going on...and tomorrow is just as busy too.

Tomorrow is the ward Trunk or Treat.  I think I am going to make Pumpkin cookies and then pipe a spiderweb on them.  I posted a recipe earlier this week on Facebook which looked like I could have everything in it...so, let's hope whole wheat flour doesn't botch the cookies!

Sounds pretty good, right?  I'll let you know what I think tomorrow.   I'll be substituting whole wheat flour for the all-purpose flour.  Hopefully it will be yummy!  Mom is going to make some kind of soup and we'll be bringing candy, of course!  Should be fun!
