Let's see. I took mom shopping for a singles conference in Phoenix. She got $400.00 worth of clothes for $200.00, thank you very much! Including shoes! I helped her pick out and assign jewelry for each outfit too. She wanted me to color her hair for her, but I had to draw a line somewhere! As dearly as I love her, she is never happy with the home hair color products and they wash out almost immediately.
She pitched a big fit and was mad at me, but I told her I wouldn't do it. I told her that we needed to make an appointment to get her hair done at one of the schools while we were in Phoenix for my doctors appointments. I suggested that we go to the same one that repaired my hair color weave after a salon had really messed my hair up. She begrudgingly had me call to make the appointment.
After we got down there, she even told the stylist that she was upset that I made her come in and get her hair done. By the time he was finished, she was both pleased with the job he did and with the way he treated her.
Carson at Classic Beauty College did a wonderful job taking care of my mom and she loved her super cute hair!
Later that day it was time to see my migraine specialist. I had BOTOX. Mom counted the injections. Twenty three. Insurance doesn't want to pay for them either. They will only allow me to have it done four times a year. I've already used two out of the four times for this year...not good. I guess this is what happens when you change insurance.
The next day I went to see the neurologist also. They gave me four nerve blocks while I was there. For some reason nothing seems to be helping a whole lot right now. I guess it is the weather. Pressure systems and storms are just miserable on my poor head. I guess that is why I have had such a hard time lately. Well, that and burning midnight oil on homework the other night.
Christian worldview is half over, thank goodness. We just finished Atheism and now we are starting pantheism. Fun times! It will all be over soon. Some of the other students are finally starting to come around to the fact that a person does not have to be Christian to be a good person, but it is slow! It has been so hard for me to hear some of the hateful idea which have come from people who claim to be Christian. If only they really could hear and understand what they are saying!
Perhaps it is a difference in perspective. Some people tend to look at the world in terms of its problems. I figure we know what mos of the problems are, why not look at the world in terms of its solutions instead? When you re-frame the problem as the solution, things really start looking a lot different than they did before. Everything is a matter of perspective...now, if only this worked on bad brain days and the pain in my head! I digress. I suppose this is enough ruminating for one day. But before I go, I just got an email from my dad's brother's wife. She would like genealogy for his side of the family. I sent her what I have and hopefully she will send me some information on her family to update our files on her family as well. There is still a lot of work to be done.
I guess that is about it. I promise a more interesting post with some pictures tomorrow.
Sweet dreams!
