One Seriously LAAAAAZY Day

I didn't wake up until noon!  No, I am not kidding on this one!  I was up way past my bedtime last night and it showed. I started playing with some of my sister-in-law Michelle's cell phone images...trying to see if I could improve the quality on the to where they could be printed out...and then mom saw them...and one thing led to another...and before you know it the clock say half past three in the AM!  Yikes!  I promised not to do that tonight.  I may as well show you what I did though.

First off remember I didn't take these images so the initial quality isn't great.  I worked with what was already there to see what I could do to improve them.

They all look better than the originals and I have to admit that I had a blast remixing the pictures!  I told Michelle if she would get me some higher megapixel images I would see what I could come up with for images she can get printed out on nice photostock paper to go on the wall.

I decided to crop, edit and remix some of Josie's pictures as well.  Once again, I did not take these images.  I only remixed them.

Josie wasn't quite sure about the zoom in Miss KitKat's picture until I explained that it was intentional in order to draw the viewers attention away from the beautiful lush background and back to Kati.  When she thought about it again, she decided she liked it after all.

What really surprised her was that I am only using freebie Picasa and Picnik in my edits.  Why not?  I do have GIMP, but I didn't have the patience to work my way through the manual.  She told me there are great youTube videos for learning how to use it...if I can ever find the time to do it.

Winter break started yesterday.  I am relieved.  Two weeks, no classes!  Hooray!  Kinda of nice, especially since I have no clue what my new instructor's expectations are.  Everything is so broad and undefined.  It is really nerve wracking.  Normally, I love that in my classes, but not when I am at the very bottom of the learning curve in a particular subject...and marketing is not my forte!

C'est la vie!

At least now I get a break for a little while - or should I call it time to bake cookies and make some more truffles?  I found some soy lecithin free dark chocolate so I am going to try making more truffles this year.  I hope they turn out.  All I know is the chocolate sure went up in price.  86-100% chocolate suitable for making truffles is not cheap stuff!  I'll post some pics.  Laters!
